Alice in Wonderland - Invitations

Party Information
The invitation should have the details of the party - the day, time, venue, birthday child’s name (also useful if invitees are unsure of the spelling) and age. Instructions on when and how guests should confirm their attendance (by telephone, email or verbally). Dress style, costume ideas makes it easier for guests to know what to wear.

Invitation style
There are many different styles you can adopt for this theme. Either a tea party theme or a mad hatter theme will work well but could depend on the age group or number of children.
It’s best to have one style for all the invitations and not have too many different styles. Jumbo playing cards with your party information can be used for a Queen of Hearts theme.
The invitations can also be shaped like top hats, a stop watch, or a tea cup.
Decorate the invitation
Be creative and bold when you decorate the invitation. If appropriate, use images of rabbit, stopwatch and stacked-up tea cups.
The Wording
If you have chosen a Mad Hatter tea party, why not include a verse from the book? The wording on the invitation can be written back to front and a small mirror included with each invitation.
Add rhymes and quotes and include the child’s name or something about the child in the wording.
Delivering the invitations
Once you have completed the invitations, why not deliver the invitations with the birthday child dressed as a Cheshire cat, wearing bunny ears or a Top hat. An Alice in Wonderland costume can also be worn when delivering the invitations which will all add to the excitement for the birthday child and the guests.

Remember to have fun making it!
